Straight On 'Til Morning - Dir. James Abrams
Wendy struggles with high school growing pains once introduced to freedom-loving Peter. Without any rules, what's to stop Wendy from never growing up?
This film was a blast. If you didn't get it immediately, this is a modern adaptation of the classic tale of Peter pan.
As Lead sound mixer on set, not only did I get to witness some brilliant acting from our leads Abby Prem and Mackenzie McCreery - i also got to challenge mother nature herself by recording dialogue during some of the coldest and windiest shooting days i've ever had the pleasure to be a part of. below are some behind-the-scenes photos of the night we filmed the bonfire scene.

During post production, I worked as the primary sound designer responsible for cutting, syncing and cleaning the majority of the film's dialogue and environmental sounds. thematically, the film is very melancholic and quiet - something James and I worked closely together to emphasize in the final mix. We learned quickly that while the picture dictated the tempo, the proper combination of hollow, awkward soundscapes and fully rounded dialogue really completed the feel we were looking for. I personally thought of this story as existing within its own little bubble, sort of like a day-dream. When Wendy wakes up freezing to find her new friends gone, the illusion is shattered and reality sinks back in.
